Therapeutic Advisory Service (TAS)
TAS is responsible for managing the introduction of new, non-cancer, drugs into the Leicestershire community. The committee has representation from secondary and primary care and meets approximately every 6 weeks. Decisions are automatically taken forward to LLR APC for consideration and are incorporated into the Leicestershire Medicines Formulary as appropriate. Applications for new drugs can be made online below following registration
TAS does not consider new drugs for mental health which are evaluated by the Leicestershire Partnership Trust Prescribing Group.
Request Drug Submission
Please note you need to be logged in with us in order to request a new drug for evaluation. New drug requests are only available to registered consultants in secondary care, CCG Leads in specific therapeutic areas and to practice prescribing leads in primary care.
