The Leicestershire Medicines Formulary provides non-specialist prescribing information and recommended choices for prescribers in the Leicestershire community.

The main aim of the Formulary is to promote safe, rational and cost-effective prescribing. Production of the Formulary is overseen by the Formulary Working Party, which is made up of clinicians and pharmacists from local primary and secondary care trusts. Decisions to include specific agents are based on the available published evidence as well as local consultant and GP opinion.
